The Supersession program will process the supersessions in the Stock Management module. This program is written to handle all supersession types Mercedes-Benz knows.
When a superseded part is selected in Point of Sale, a list with the supersession chain is displayed. From this list it is possible to select what part you want to sell. In case of a C23/99 supersession, the created kit is displayed. After selecting the kit, the part details are displayed. The C23 code (the supersession type) is put in front of the description of the kit. This is an indicator that you have to Make the kit. After that the parts are put on the WIP.
This form is displayed when you click Manufacturer systems (Module) and MB. Mercedes-Benz (Company) > Menu - Parts > Supersession creation.
Note: With the Use MB supersessions parameter, you can select for which company the Mercedes-Benz supersessions is used. Depending on this selection the Choose standard Autoline supersessions or Mercedes Benz supersessions form is displayed when starting the Supersession creation function. In this form you can choose if you want to open the standard supersessions or the Mercedes-Benz specific supersessions. Starting the Supersession creation will run the standard Autoline supersession program, if no company is selected in the Use MB supersessions parameter.
