System Supersession Parameters contain user defined parameters that define the way the parts supersessions operate within Autoline's Point of Sales system.
This form is displayed when you click Manufacturer systems (Module) and MB. Mercedes-Benz (Company) > Menu - Utilities > Mercedes-Benz parameters and you browse to System > Supersessions > [no. Company name] on the Project parameters browser.
Parts supersessions:
Use MB supersessions: Select the company or companies that you want the Mercedes Benz supersessions processes activate against.
Note: Only companies for which the user has stock management rights and which are selected in Use MB supersessions are displayed in Supersession creation, Supersede open PC lines and Supersede open WIP lines.
Show MB C-Code Descriptions: Select to show the MB C-Codes instead of the generic Autoline C-Codes within the system.
Tip: This will only apply to supersessions where the main part is a Mercedes-Benz part.
Integrity reportname: Enter here the report name of the Stock management report that should be used to check the integrity of the stock management supersessions. This report (Supersession chain integrity) can be executed from the Supersede stock line program.
Error reportname: Enter the report name of the Stock management report that should be used to report errors within the Stock management supersessions. This report (Supersessions not on stock) can be executed from the Supersede stock line program.
Supersessions import:
Supersession file type: Select the format of the supersessions import file.
AU Autoselect file type (File format is automatically detected)
DC DCSA supersession file (File format of South Africa)
RT RT 35 file from GLC (File format of GLC)
SP SPICS supersession file (File format of Europe)
IS Cross reference MB for IDIS (File format of Classic Car Centre)
IX IPS XML supersession
Note: If file type IPS XML supersession is selected, the Import supersessions from SPDI XML pricefile on Pricefile processing will be unavailable as the content of the IPS supersession is of better quality than that of SPDI supersessions.
Supersession file: Indicates the location of the file on the computer or server, that contains the supersessions to be imported.
Initialise MB file before import: Select to initialise the MB supersession file before importing the new supersessions.
Supersession Update:
Remove MB supse before update: Select to remove the MB created supersessions from the Stock Management Supersession file (SM.supse) before updating the new supersessions.
Supersession Upload Permissions:
Single supersession: This parameter is used within the supersession upload program. Users with this priority from the selected Stock Management Company are only allowed to activate a single supersession within the supersession upload program.
Create and activate all: This parameter is used within the supersession upload program. Users with this priority are allowed to create and delete supersessions.
Communication:
E-mail Parts: Indicates the user who is to be informed with an email by the communication program.
