The Vehicle Information Interface (UVS-Out) system is an external Mercedes-benz facility that provides up to date manufacturer vehicle information (factory options, engine number, key codes, body style) based upon the integrate receipt of a valid vehicle chassis number, this information can be used to maintain vehicle data within Autoline.
This form is displayed when you click Manufacturer systems (Module) and MB. Mercedes-Benz (Company) > Menu - Utilities > Mercedes-Benz parameters and you browse to + System > + Vehicle information interface > MB. Mercedes-Benz on the Project parameters browser.

Enable Vehicle information interface: Defines the companies that utilise the Vehicle information interface.
Purge archive (in days): Defines the number of days until the UVS-Out archive is purged.

Connection configuration: Select the connection configuration to use for UVS-Out interface.
Button:
Edit: Select to amend the current details. The Server Connection Details form is displayed. To create a new Connection, select Edit > New from the toolbar on the Server Connection Details form.
Edit grid:
The grid is not editable. Select the Edit button to amend the details.
Protocol: For UVS-Out the HTTPS, secured connection protocol, is required.
Host name: The IP address or Hostname of the UVS-Out remote server on the internet.
Tip: Please use the Hostname, because an IP address will change when changing hosts on the Internet.
Port: The port number on the Host that accepts the UVS-Out request. For UVS-Out the port 443 is required.
Application path: The application URL path on the UVS-Out remote server. For UVS-Out the path is /auth/api/uvs-out/v2/out.
Connection time-out: Indicates the number of seconds after which an error is reported if the connection cannot be established. After this, the connection is considered broken.
Data time-out: Indicates the number of seconds after which an error is reported waiting for a response.
User ID: The User ID to be used for authentication on the remote UVS-Out server.
Max tries to connect: Indicates the maximum attempts to establish a connection before a final error is reported.
Tip: It is recommended to set this parameter to 1 and increase the connection time-out in the Server Connection Details in case of connection problems.
Total requests done: Indicates the total number of requests done to UVS-Out starting from the Date first request count.
Date first request count: Indicates the date on which the total request counter was set to zero.
Date of last request: Indicates the date on which the last request for vehicle information was done.
Enable HTTP logging: Select to create a logfile that shows the full message exchange between Autloine and UVS-Out. The logfile FDOK.log is created and stored in the logs directory ($LOGS environment).
Tip: This option should only be used in case of trapping errors.
ISO currency code: Indicates the currency code in which UVS-Out returns the given amounts. Default value is EUR.
Default dealer number: Indicates the dealer number used in the UVS-Out interface. This dealer number will be used if dealer numbers are not setup in Autoline via Location codes and only one dealer number is applicable.
Default country number: Indicates the country number where the dealership is located. The default value is 000.
Print format program name: The name of the format stationary to be used to print the UVS-Out details. The full program name is required, for example MS/fsMBF.
Archive directory: The directory in which the UVS-Out requests (XML files) are stored.
In these fields, it is possible to enter a language code of UVS-Out per installed language slot of Autoline.
When no language is installed on a specific slot of Autoline, it is displayed as not defined and you cannot add a UVS-Out language code to it.
Depending on the language slot that is active for the Autoline user, the request to UVS-Out and the received vehicle information of UVS-Out is displayed accordingly to linked UVS-Out language code.
Warning: Be aware that during an update of the UVS-Out request to CRM or VSB, the vehicle data is stored in Autoline according to the language that is displayed in the request.

Convert Kwatt from UVS-Out into Horsepower: Select the check box if Horsepower values is used in Autoline.
Do NOT allow all option codes to move into CRM vehicle: Select the check box for not updating the Fitted options of the vehicle record in CRM. Clear the check box for updating the options.
Do NOT allow all option codes to move into VSB vehicle: Select the check box for not updating the Factory options (new vehicle) and Features (used vehicles) in VSB. Clear the check box for updating the options.
Update option categories for Stock search in Showroom: Select the check box to update the Generic option categories (VSB / CRM) and Option categories (Franchise Data) files.
Note: CRM data file (MK.ticks) and VSB data file (VS.ticks) must exist.

Priority on using UVS-Out in VSB: Indicates the minimum priority the user should have in VSB to enable the use of the UVS-Out option.
Priority on using UVS-Out in POS: Indicates the minimum priority the user should have in POS to enable the use of the UVS-Out option.
Priority on using UVS-Out in CRM: Indicates the minimum priority the user should have in CRM to enable the use of the UVS-Out option.
Priority on using UVS-Out in Showroom: Indicates the minimum priority the user should have in Showroom to enable the use of the UVS-Out option.
Priority on update vspec in VSB: Indicates the minimum priority the user should have in VSB so that the user can automatically update the vehicle specifications in VSB.
Note: VSB data file (vs.vspec) must exist.
Priority on update vspec in CRM: Indicates the minimum priority the user should have in CRM so that the user can automatically update the vehicle specifications in CRM.
Note: CRM data file (mk.vspec) must exist.
Priority on update vspec in Showroom as adjustments: Indicates the minimum priority the user should have in Showroom so that the user can automatically update the vehicle specifications in Showroom.
Note: Showroom data file (SR.vspec) must exist.
Priority on updating UVS-Out parameters via UVS-Out form: Indicates the minimum priority the user should have to access the Vehicle Information Interface Settings Parameters from the UVS-Out form.
Priority on updating UVS-Out mapping via UVS-Out form: Indicates the minimum priority the user should have to access the UVS-Out Mapping tables from the UVS-Out form.

CO2 Base Url: Enter the URL (link) that is used for the CO2-Label enquiry in UVS-Out. The chassis number will automatically be added to the URL.
Note: If no URL is entered, the CO2 button will not be available in the UVS-Out main screen.
