Showroom Enquiry Compare / Vehicle Specification Comparison, Differences or Change

This form is displayed from various modules in Autoline, for example, when you click:

1. Vehicle Specification Differences is called from Vehicle Stock Books (VSB) > Accept customer orders.

2. Vehicle Specification Comparison is called from Vehicle Stock Books (VSB) > Accept customer orders, select the required order containing multiple vehicles to make the Find stock function available and click the Tools > Find stock menu bar command to display the GiC Multiple Vehicle Order form and click the View > Compare menu bar command.

3. Showroom Enquiry Compare is called from Showroom Enquiries by selecting Vehicle stock record > Compare.

4. Vehicle Specification Change is called from Vehicle Stock Books (VSB) > MB Vehicle order import by selecting Tools > Compare.

Vehicle Specification Differences Form

This form is displayed when you select the Tools > Accept menu option in Accept customer orders.

Dealer options, customer discounts and customer details are transferred from the Showroom order to the VSB vehicle. The accept process will not update the vehicle configuration (factory options will not be removed or added to the VSB vehicle).

Autoline will compare the merged specification within the acceptance process. If any differences has been found, the Vehicle Specification Differences form will be displayed.

Vehicle Specification Comparison Form

This form is displayed when you click Vehicle Stockbooks > Accepting Customer Orders, select the required order containing multiple vehicles to make the Find stock function available and you click the Tools > Find stock menu bar command to display the GiC Multiple Vehicle Order form and click the View > Compare menu bar command in case of specification changes.
This form is also displayed if the user selected to update an existing offer when importing a XML order file, and differences is found between the new and the existing order.

The compare function checks if the attached stock vehicle still exists in the Vehicle Stockbooks (VSB) module and if the specification of the stock vehicle still matches to the vehicle order. The View > Compare menu bar command on the GiC Multiple Vehicle Order for becomes available, if changes are detected.

Showroom Enquiry Compare Form

This form is displayed when you select the Vehicle Stock Record > Compare menu option in Showroom Enquiries.

When a stock vehicle is assigned to a quote it is possible to compare the specification of the quoted vehicle against the specification of the stock vehicle. When a Showroom Enquire Compare is displayed and the quote is in the correct mode (not in display only mode), it is possible to Ignore or Accept the changes. Upon accepting the changes, the specification of the quoted vehicle is synchronized with the specification of the stock vehicle.

When recalling a showroom quote which has a stock vehicle attached, the compare trigger will automatically check if the attached stock vehicle still exists in the Vehicle Stockbooks (VSB) module and if the specification of the stock vehicle still matches the quote. If any changes are detected, the Showroom Enquire Compare form is displayed.

Vehicle Specification Change

This form is displayed when you select Vehicle Stock Books (VSB) > MB Vehicle order import and then by selecting Tools > Compare.

It is possible that an Order update file contains a change of variant. The Vehicle specification change form will be displayed with options Accept and Ignore available. It is only possible to accept a change of variant if:

• The VSB record is amendable (Account status must be lower that status A)

• There is no chassis number present on the VSB record

• The VSB record has no link to a CRM vehicle record
