Use this program if you have to charge environmental fees on certain parts by either a fixed price or a price per unit or a percentage of the retail price. If you define an environmental charge code on the part you have just put on the WIP, one or more parts lines are generated. The following Autoline modules are affected by the Environmental charge calculation functionality:
Stock Management: Display and maintenance of the environmental charge code in the stock files.
Point-of-Sale: Generation of additional parts lines for the part you just added to the WIP, based on an environmental charge code.
What do you want to do?
Define environmental charge codes to link to parts you create.
Generate an environmental charge line (as an additional parts line) in Point-of-Sale.
You must define environmental charge codes to link to parts.
To define environmental charge codes and link them to part numbers:
Define the part numbers for the different types of charges, because the environmental charge amount is put on a WIP as a separate parts line. Advisable is to create non-franchise parts in the Stock file form with the mandatory settings of the Stock balance item field cleared and the Non-stock item field selected on the Description tab.
Define the Environmental charge codes and link these to the part numbers you have previous created.
Define for what parts in the stock file the previous created environmental charge codes need to be generated. To link the environmental fee to the concerning part of the Stock Management (SM) company. You must type the Environmental charge code on the Other tab of the Stock file form. This information is also available on the Display stock card form.
The generation of an environmental charge line (additional parts line), takes place in Point-of-Sale (POS), either:
After you add a part to the WIP. (Supersessions are taken into account as well.)
After you load a menu to the WIP.
The line generated is always a fixed price line. The calculation is always based on the original parts line (that is, it is based on the number of units and the price, from that line). Several lines can be generated for one part number if you complete the Next charge code field in the Environmental charge code parameters.
If you define an environmental charge code on a part, one or more environmental charge lines (part lines) are generated after you add the part to the WIP. (Supersessions are taken into account as well.)
To generate an environmental charge line by adding a part to a WIP:
On the Point-of-Sale form, type in a part number directly in the New product field (or select a part number from a list), in the WIP.
This creates a single line in the WIP, and, after this, line one or more environmental charge lines are automatically created.
If you define an environmental charge code on a part, one or more environmental charge lines (part lines) are generated when loading a menu onto a WIP.
This functionality works for itemized menus and fixed price menus. The main difference is that the environmental charge line has no influence on the menu price in case of fixed menu prices. The environmental charge line will display an amount of 0,00 when using fixed menu prices.
To generate an environmental charge line by adding a menu to a WIP:
On the Point-of-Sale form, select the Manufacturer Systems 00 in the second field of the New product.
00. [Global company] is displayed.
Click the New product ellipsis and click Menus.
The Menu Codes form is displayed.
Search and select the required menu in the list and click OK.
The environmental charge line(s) is/are automatically put on to the WIP and displayed directly after the parts line that formed the basis of the calculation. The environmental charge line(s) is/are part of the menu.
