Linking to C2

The web browser that links to C2 can be launched from more than one of the showroom process's sequential stages, corresponding to three Autoline Showroom forms.

• Selecting a manufacturer on the Select A Franchise form.

• Selecting a model on the Select a Model form.

• Selecting a variant on the Vehicles Matching Criteria Entered... form.

If the user continues to the variant selection screen, C2 will be prompted for after selection of the variant (if a price book vehicle is selected), i.e. Selecting a variant on the Vehicles Matching Criteria Entered... form. If a stock vehicle is selected, the quotation can be created without any need to validate on C2, in fact, no links to C2 will be visible.

Launching the C2 Vehicle Configurator

Clicking on the or selecting the Launch Vehicle Configurator option on the Tools menu will open the web browser that links to C2.

If Autoline is selected, it will be possible to use the normal processes to configure a vehicle for the customer and produce the appropriate documentation (i.e. quote, order).

If C2 selected, the user is taken to the Autoline browser with the C2 interface loaded.

If the Autoline browser cannot connect to C2 an appropriate message would be displayed.

C2 Browser

Note: This help page describes only the browser's functions. For instructions on using C2 facilities, i.e. the contents of the browser's main display area, refer to C2 documentation.

The browser connects to the C2 internet site. It is invoked by clicking the Launch Vehicle Configurator button or the Launch Vehicle Configurator option on the Tools menu of an appropriate Autoline Showroom form:

• Select A Franchise form
• Select a Model form
• Vehicles Matching Criteria Entered... form

When C2 is launched, the interface will be loaded within the browser control embedded within the Kerridge Client in Create Retail Offer mode. The browser's Stop, Back, Forward and Refresh buttons behave exactly like their counterparts in Microsoft Internet Explorer.

Menu Bar and Toolbar:

Actions > Back		Displays previous page
Actions > Forward		Displays next page
Actions > Stop		Abandons any outstanding download request
Actions > Refresh		Re-downloads the displayed page
Actions > Exit		Closes the browser, returning you to Autoline Showroom, back to the point from where C2 was launched.

Help		Displays this help page in a web browser

Clicking the Exit button or selecting Actions > Exit from the menu bar may display a Confirm input message:

No valid configuration has been downloaded yet from C2. Are you sure you want to Exit?

Click one of the Confirm input dialog's buttons:

Stay in browser: Closes the dialog box

Exit: Returns you to Showroom without downloading a new configuration. You cannot continue with the showroom process until a vehicle configuration has been downloaded.

Note: If C2 is unavailable, you can continue specifying the vehicle configuration by using Showroom in an off-line mode.
