These parameters can be set up for three options. Each option uses the same fields and is set up in the Parameters per salesprice interval group of fields The options are:
Settings Default: The default option. It is the first one loaded in the top-down calculation, but if another option is completed, it is overwritten.
Settings Direct Resales (Trade): This option is used for direct resales to the trade. You can enter different percentages and amounts to make a Top-Down Calculation possible for trade-in cars, which are sold directly.
Salesprices: This option can be set up a number of times (maximum of 50 intervals), depending on the basic sales prices. For example, one set of percentages and/or (fixed) amounts for a sales price of less than 10 000, another set of percentages and/or (fixed) amounts for a sales price of less than 20 000.
Warning: These are the newer parameters of the top-down calculation. These cannot be used combined with the older parameters. When the newer parameters are set, these newer parameters are used in the top-down calculation. The older parameters are then obsolete.
This form is displayed when you click Manufacturer Systems > Menu - Sales > Menu - UVS-In > Top-down parameters. It is used to set up top-down calculation parameters that are used when the Top-down calculation form is used for used vehicles. The amounts and percentages entered in this form are used to calculate the figures in the Top-down calculation form.
Print Format: Type the report for printing the Top-Down Calculation.
VAT%: Type the VAT percentage to use in top-down calculations.

Value correction: Type the description required. This concerns the amount deducted in the case of an overvaluation.
Parameters per salesprice interval:
[Balance mileage]: Amount deducted from the base value for mileage. This can be a percentage of the base value, a fixed amount, or you can include a possible maximum and minimum amount.
[Balance paint]: Amount needed for reconditioning the paintwork of the vehicle. This can be a percentage of the base value, a fixed amount, or you can include a possible maximum and minimum amount.
[SO's]: Amount to increase the value of the vehicle for special options that are fitted. This can be a percentage of the base value, a fixed amount, or you can include a possible maximum and minimum amount.
[Value correction]: Amount deducted in the case of an overvaluation. This can be a percentage of the base value, a fixed amount, or a possible maximum and minimum amount. You can determine if the amount of the default setting, Value correction, should be considered as profit e.g. Use for handling costs is Y. For a margin car, VAT is calculated over this profit.
Note: If Use for handling costs is Y, the [Value correction] field in the Top-Down Calculation Parameters form is not available for change.
[Planned Profit]: The percentage or amount used to calculate the planned profit. This can be a percentage of the nett/base value, a fixed amount or you can include a possible maximum and minimum amount.
[Reconditioning]: The amount needed to recondition the car before it can be resold. This can be a fixed amount or an amount per year of the vehicle's age (Year old).
[Warranty]: The amount the warranty value should be decreased by. This can be a fixed amount or an amount per year of the vehicle age (Year old).
[Overhead]: The amount needed for overheads. This can be a percentage of the base value, a fixed amount, or you can include a possible maximum and minimum amount.
[Commission]: The amount needed for commission. This can be a percentage of the base value, a fixed amount, or you can include a possible maximum and minimum amount.
[Chassis]: Amount needed for chassis reconditioning. This can be a fixed amount or an amount per year of the vehicle age (Year old).
[Mechanical]: Amount needed for mechanical reconditioning. This can be a fixed amount or an amount per year of the vehicle age (Year old).
For the default settings: Reconditioning, Warranty, Chassis and Mechanical, the figure Year old is determined by a function. For the use of this function two dates need to be defined:
Now the year of the first date is subtracted from the second date: 2007 - 2004 = 3 years old
If the month of the first date is smaller than month [July]: the figure will be 06 < 07 = 4 years old.
The Year old figure is multiplied by the amount entered in the Amount per year old.
