A number of set up must be done before the conversion program and routines can be used. All set up is explained below.
Before any of the chassis numbers can be converted, the mapping table in Autoline must be filled. Uploading a data form F-DOK can do this. Before you can upload the file, you must set up the Mercedes-Benz parameters.
To set up the Mercedes-Benz parameters, you must:
Enter the name and location of the data form F-DOK file on the server or client in the MCC VIN file name parameter.
Select the Save icon from the Toolbar to save the changes.
After the parameter has been set, it is possible to upload the file. To upload the file, you must:
If the file is available on the location and name from the Mercedes-Benz parameter and if the program can open the file, the Load column of the MCC Vin numbers line will be ticked or will say compressed.
If not it is possible that you must set the Location radio button correctly, check the name and location in the parameter again or make sure that the program has enough rights to open the file.
Decide if you want to initialise the currently uploaded files in the mapping table or update the files currently uploaded in the mapping table. Tick the Initialise column of the MCC Vin numbers line if you want to initialise the mapping table.
Untick the Load column of the files that you do not want to upload and select the Convert button to upload the MCC Vin numbers file.
If the file has been uploaded without any errors, a message is given.
After the file has been uploaded, the mapping table can be viewed and edited. To enter the mapping table, you must:
Note: Any changes will be lost when uploading the same file or a new file again!
The convert routines are only activated if the Franchise record for Smart is linked to MS company code MB. To set up the Franchise record, you must:
Enter or select with help of the Search function the Franchise record used for Smart vehicles.
Select the Amend button from the form.
Make sure that the MS Company code on the Main Detail tab is set on MB.
Select the Save button to save the changes.
