Update master data After Sales

On set-up, and each time a new release of price or supersession data is made available, you must upload and convert the data on the Autoline system.

The procedure of distribution of the data is different, depending on what country the dealer is situated. In some countries it is custom that the dealer gets the data via FTP, other countries the MPC's distribute a cd with information.

After the program with the master data from the cd is installed, you can return to Autoline and upload the data in Autoline.

Upload the data into Autoline

To upload and convert the data, you must enter the Update master data After Sales program. Within this program you can upload not only the pricefile from the manufacturer, but also baumusterfiles, standard text files and/or standard files.

To enter the program you must:

Select from the main menu, the Manufacturer systems menu, in combination with the correct company.
Select the Menu - Service from the Mercedes - Benz Main Menu.
Select from the Mercedes - Benz Service menu, the Menu - Standard Files option.
Select from the Mercedes - Benz Standard Files, the Master Data After Sales CD option.

Now the Master Data After Sales screen is opened, this screen contains all the files that can be uploaded into Autoline.

When you want to upload the files into Autoline, you have a few options:

Choose what file you want to upload by clicking the Load column of the line.
Choose from what location you want to upload the files, by selecting one of the radiobuttons. The location is depending on how you load your data.
Some upload lines allow you to edit the filename on the location by double clicking the Filename.
Choose if you want the file to be initialised, by clicking the Initialise column of the line.

Note: The last option isn't available when the file is in use, see the third column of the line.

After you have set the options as you like them, you can press the Convert button, now the files you have selected are being uploaded.

When the uploading from the file is finished, a notice is given.
