New supersessions

After the suppersessions are loaded on the first tab page, the second tab page gives a survey of the parts that have to be superseded in your stockfile, after you select the Refresh button.

The part lines can have collours depending on their status. Black lines have no exceptions, Not on Stock file are blue this indicates that the destination partnumber does not exist is the stock file but is available on the price file and Lines with an error are red. See the Legend at the bottom of the screen.

When selecting the Create All button, alle supersession lines without errors are created. The Not on stock file lines are created when the Create from pricefile is checked within the parameters.

Types of supersessions

As explained before, Mercedes-Benz delivers three types of supersessions, these are:

C21 supersession

The C21 supersession is a standard supersession within Autoline. These supersessions can also be done in the Stock Management Module. In this case you can tick all the options within the supersession screen off.

C22 supersession

C22 supersessions can also be done within the Stock Management module, the only difference between a C21 and a C22 supersession are the options Tranfer history, Zero demand on old part and Reset re-order category on old part, these should be ticked on.

C23 supersession

In case of a C23 supersession, a part is replaced by more part numbers or the quantity is different. This is solved by creating a kit within the Stock Management module. The quantities of the parts in the kit are negative but when the kit is loaded into a WIP, the parts have a positive quantity.
