All warranty/goodwill parts are returned to the sales company for determining of condition are stored in a so-called sealed store. They must be identified with a Warranty return card to avoid confusion. This Warranty return card is filled in and manually attached to the returned old part.
The Autoline Vega retail claim maintenance program is extended with a Warranty return card print option.
To print the Warranty return card, there are some conditions to be met:
Warranty return card parameters are completed
Print Manager is setup and the Print Manager format is installed in the concerning Print Manager directory.
Tip: For this project a Print Manager format (FSMSMBWARRANTYRETURNCARD[v1].kpm) has been created.
When all conditions are met the Warranty return card can be printed when you select the concerning part number(s) and click the Print button of the Warranty return card form of Vega Retail.

Note: For parts lines from which the Warranty return card is already printed, it is not possible to print another return card for a second time.
This form is displayed when you click
Manufacturer systems (Module) and MB.Mercedes-Benz (Company) > Menu - Service > Menu - Warranty SEAG/VEGA > Vega claim maintenance > Print return card toolbar button or File > Print warranty return card menu bar command. You can select or clear the claims and/or the parts that require Warranty return cards to be printed. The Warranty return card is printed to the printer selected in the Mercedes-Benz Warranty Main menu.

Grid
Note: The gird contains details of all part lines from all claims. Part lines that have already had the Warranty return card printed are displayed with a light grey background and they have a cross in the Print status.
Plus (+) or minus (-) sign: Click to expand or collapse the gridline, displays an extra gridline with the part and damage code description for the selected part line.
Claim number: Displays the claim number with parts available for return card processing.
WIP no: Displays the WIP number associated with the claim.
Part number: Displays the part number within the claim.
Fault: Displays the damage code of the part line.
Quantity: Displays the claimed part quantity.
Serial number range: Displays the Warranty return card serial number. A return card is produced based upon claims part line quantity.
Print: Displays the print status of the part line.
indicates if the part line is selected for warranty return card printing.
Tip: You can select or clear a specific part line for printing on a Warranty return card by clicking the Print field on the required part line.
Tip: It is possible to sort on Claim number, Part number, or Fault (damage key) by clicking the column header concerned.
Grid Shortcut Menu:
A right-click in the Print field on the required part line will open the shortcut menu. Only the applicable options are available.
Select for printing: Select the gridline for printing. Not available for part lines already printed.
Deselect for printing: Clears the gridline for printing. Not available for part lines not selected.
Exclude from printing: Exclude the gridline for printing. Not available for part lines already excluded.
Include for printing: Include the gridline for printing. Not available for part lines not excluded.
To print the Warranty return cards per claim
On the master menu, select Manufacturer systems (Module) and MB.Mercedes-Benz (Company) > Menu - Service > Menu - Warranty SEAG/VEGA > Vega claim maintenance.
The Vega Retail form is displayed.
The claim is displayed in the Vega Retail form.
Click the Print return card toolbar button or File > Print warranty return card menu bar command.
The Warranty return card form is displayed with only the parts lines selected on the claim. For these parts lines it‘s possible to print a Warranty return card.
Click the Select all toolbar button or Options > Select All menu bar command, to select or clear all parts for printing.
Tip: Click the Print column header can also select or clear specific part lines to print a Warranty return card.
Click the Print toolbar button or Options > Print menu bar command.
The Warranty return card is printed for the selected part lines and the grid on the Warranty return card form is updated.
To print the Warranty return cards for all claims available
On the master menu, select Manufacturer systems (Module) and MB.Mercedes-Benz (Company) > Menu - Service > Menu - Warranty SEAG/VEGA > Vega claim maintenance > Print return card toolbar button or File > Print warranty return card menu bar command.
