All the parameters on the General parameter tab are explained below:
Interface File Type
MDPLUS: This is the VAF/VG file format that was also available on Autoline Revision 8.20.
NHS Interface: This is the MDPLUS data that is delivered in the NHS file format to the dealers.
NHS Factory data: This is the MDPLUS data that is delivered in the NHS file format to the Autoline importer systems.
Note: Depending on what Interface File Type you select, some fields are added or removed from the parameter record.
Import data for this franchise
This option enables or disables the import of de MDPLUS data into the selected franchise. When this option is diabled, this franchise will not appear in the Franchise dropdown-box on the main screen. This option will also later be used, to enable an automatically import of de MDPLUS data.
Default VAT code for variant
Every variant must have a VAT code, the contents of this field will be filled in on the variant by default.
Use default variant
It is possible to create a 'Default' variant per model type. This variant will be used as a default record on creating a new variant. This will reduce the extra work, like for example adding the dealer specific options etc.
Default variant
Enter the default record for the variant when the Use default variant field is ticked.
Don't use models from MDPLUS
The models within MDPLUS are in most cases different than the models that are used within Autoline. In this case is it necessary to tick this parameter. The import program does not create the MDPLUS models but will use the models that are already available in Franchise Data.
The MDPLUS Interface will first try to find the model with the first four digits of the national type. In case this model does not exist is the model code with the first three digits of the national type used. In case no matching model is found a message is shown.
Chassis validation
This option determines if the chassis prefix field is filled in on the variant record with a format mask. This format mask will allow that only a valid chassisnumber is filled in, when a new vehicle is created in Vehicle Stock Books.
Add option code in description
In some cases could it be useful to have the option code within the description. When this parameter is ticked, the option code is added in the description field before the description.
Mail group for import information
When an update is done, it is possible to inform the users when it has finished. All the users in the specified mail group recieve an e-mail.
Use MDPLUS option validation
Options within MDPLUS can have the same Option class. It is not allowed to have more than one option from an option class on a vehicle specification. When this parameter is ticked a validation done which excludes options with the same option class from the vehicle specification in the Showroom module.
The following fields are only available for information and are maintained by the import program.

Franchise data time stamp
Within the MDPLUS files are the date and time delivered when the file is created. This date and time is shown in these fields.
