Introduction

These help files describe the realization of the MBKS, VAF/VG, VKL and GIOVE interface into the VSB module of Autoline.

MBKS - is a standard product for raising vehicle quotations for commercial and passenger cars.

VKL/VKL II - - is a German version of MBKS-PKW for ordering vehicles. The products (VKL/VKL II interfaces and MBKS interface) are client computer based that may be operated on a standalone basis. VKL will process an ASCII files and VKL II processes XML files. In principal, the user will experience no difference between selecting the old text file or the new XML file. Everything is handled in the background and all functions for the user will remain the same. When we refer to VKL in the help files it means both the VKL interface and VKL II interface.

VAF/VG - is a wholesale order processing system used in several countries. The VAF/VG program is able to create order files in the same format as the MBKS program. There is some additional information compared to MBKS within these order files that is imported as well.

GIOVE - is the Mercedes-Benz Italian vehicle ordering system. This system generates a file containing the details of the vehicle orders. This information is imported in the same way as the interface files from the above-described products. The GIOVE file does not contain price information and for that reason up-to-date Franchise Data is required.

The interface into VSB is able to handle the export files of both products into New stock and Used stock. Any further references to MBKS in this document means MBKS, VAF/VG, VKL and GIOVE.

The interface allows you to:

  1. Do a Customer export for MBKS.

  2. Load quotes or orders from the MBKS, VAF/VG, VKL and GIOVE in the Vehicle Stockbook Module in Autoline.

Setup

Before you can import order files and export Customer data, you must ensure that you set up both the external software and the Autoline system correctly.
