The MBKS program offers the functionality to import customer details from an external system. This function can be used to import the CRM customer information from Autoline.
Note: This option is only available for MBKS and not for VKL, VAF/VG or GIOVE.
What do you want to do?
To export Customer data to MBKS:
Select from the Main menu the Manufacturer System option, combined with the concerning company.
The Mercedes-Benz Main Menu is displayed.
Select from the Mercedes-Benz Main Menu, the Menu - Sales option.
The Mercedes-Benz Sales menu is displayed.
Select from the Mercedes-Benz Sales menu the Customer Export for MBKS option.
The Customer Export to MBKS form is displayed.
Fields
What to convert: The MBKS interface is ticked by default. You can create export files only for this interface.
Marketing Company: Select from the list, which you want to export.
Record Selection: Choose a customer selection that you want to export.
Tick Login name for the customers of this specific user ID.
Tick All accessible all customers where the user has access to.
Tick All for all the available customers in the CRM database. (Only available for users with priority 7 and higher)
Cost Centre: Valid cost centres for the specified user are displayed and selected by default. You can (de-)select one or more cost centres.
Note: You must select at least one cost centre.
Customer status: With the customer status list you can make the selection what the customer status the CRM record should have. It is possible to select multiple statuses.

When you want to import the export file in MBKS, you must open the MBKS application.
To import customers in MBKS:
Start the MBKS program.
Select the File menu.
Select the Import option.
Select the Update ASCII Customer Database option.
The Update Customer Data form is displayed.
Type the name and location of the file you want to import.
Select the correct format of the import file, this should be format 2, Autoline_Rev8.
Click OK and the imported data will be displayed.
Click the Übernehmen button when you are sure you want to load the data.
Confirm by clicking Yes, to start the import process.
If a customer in Autoline is linked to a company, then both customer and company are in the export file from Autoline.
There is a difference in the customer number each customer gets in MBKS. The customer number of the customer will end with a 1 and the customer number of the company will end with a 0. The number before the 1 or 0 is the customer number from Autoline.
