VEHICLE PROFILE

Overview

This screen is accessed via Maintenance Control / Service Schedules / Vehicle Schedules / Schedule By Service Group and selection of the Create Schedules, Create Special and the Set Vehicle Calibration option from the Schedule Tools menu option.

The Vehicle Profile form provides the facility to perform certain scheduling functions on a group of vehicles sharing the same servicing group by locating the appropriate Service Schedule Template Header by entering the required search selection criteria.

Note: It is possible to create more than one template with the same vehicle profile; in this circumstance the system prompts with a menu of matching templates found.

The screen is split into three areas. These are the Titlebar, the Vehicle Profile Dialogue Box and a series of Command Buttons.

Title Bar

In addition to displaying the screen name the Title Bar provides a number of useful buttons. Within this form the titlebar also displays the module code (i.e. FA) and company number (e.g. 01>.

Vehicle Profile Dialogue Box

Displays a number of details relating to the Service Schedule Template Header, which enable a search of all template headers matching the vehicle selection criteria:

The specific manufacturer code (e.g. FO for which the Service Schedule Template Header is applicable.

Note: If this field is left blank then the service schedule is then applicable to ALL FRANCHISE CODES i.e. a Global catch-all template.

A single-left-click of the ellipsis button (...) immediately to the right of this field displays a Franchises List Box that enables the appropriate franchise code (e.g. FO Ford) to be specified. Having selected the required code by highlighting with the mouse, the OK command button is used to confirm this selection and return to the Service Schedule Template Headers form. The scroll bar to the right of the screen may be used to locate franchise codes which cannot be immediately displayed within the first eighteen codes on the initial page.

The specific model code (e.g. ESCORT) for which the Service Schedule Template Header is applicable.

Note: If this field is left blank then the service schedule is then applicable to ALL MODEL CODES.

A single-left-click of the ellipsis button (...) immediately to the right of this field displays a Models List Box that enables the appropriate model code (e.g. ESCORT) to be specified. Having selected the required code by highlighting with the mouse, the OK command button is used to confirm this selection and return to the Service Schedule Template Headers form. The scroll bar to the right of the screen may be used to locate model codes which cannot be immediately displayed within the first eighteen codes on the initial page.

The specific fuel type code (e.g. Petrol) for which the Service Schedule Template Header is applicable. the following code/descriptions are currently available:

Note: If this field is left blank then the service schedule is then applicable to all fuel types for the selected franchise/model combination.

The specific vehicle variant code (e.g. F0001135) for which the Service Schedule Template Header is applicable.

Note: If this field is left blank then the service schedule is then applicable to ALL VARIANT CODES.

A single-left-click of the ellipsis button (...) immediately to the right of this field displays a Variant List Box that enables the appropriate variant code (e.g. F0001135) to be specified. Having selected the required code by highlighting with the mouse, the OK command button is used to confirm this selection and return to the Service Schedule Template Headers form. The scroll bar to the right of the screen may be used to locate variant codes which cannot be immediately displayed within the first eighteen codes on the initial page.

Command Buttons

The full list of command buttons is as follows:

Displays a the Select A Schedule Template form that displays a list of all Service Schedule Template Headers matching the vehicle selection criteria that is entered.

Note: It is possible to create more than one template with the same vehicle profile; in this circumstance the system prompts with a menu of matching templates found.

Exits the Vehicle Profile screen and returns to the Group Schedule Options form.

Provides online access to a context sensitive Help screen.
