THIRD PARTY INSURANCE DETAILS

Overview

Selection of the Insurance Tab from the Accident Maintenance screen displays the Third Party Insurer Details record screen.

This screen enables the recording of as many third party insurer names and addresses (for each Third Party involved) as required against an accident.

Note: The insurer details for the customer's vehicle are held on the customer record. There is no need to record them separately against each accident record.

This screen is split into four parts that are as follows:

Title Bar

In addition to displaying the screen name the Title Bar provides a number of other useful identification criteria and buttons.

Menu Bar

The content of the Third Party Insurer Details menu bar is as follows:

Save

Saves any data amendments and returns to the Accident Record screen.

Exit

Exits to the Accident Record screen. If any data changes have been made the system prompts "Do you want to save changes to this accident record?". Select the Yes, No or Cancel command button as appropriate.

Provides online access to a context sensitive Help screen.

Toolbar

The content of the Third Party Insurer Details toolbar is as follows:

Saves any data amendments and returns to the Accident Record screen.

Provides online access to a context sensitive Help screen.

Third Party Insurer Details Dialogue Box

The Third Party Insurer Details Dialogue Box contains several data entry fields relevant to the creation of a new accident record. These are as follows:

The registration number of the currently selected vehicle. This field cannot be edited.

The agreement number to which the currently selected vehicle is attached. This field cannot be edited.

The unique sequential system generated accident number. The next accident number is allocated centrally from the System Controls module via the Next Accident Number field. This field cannot be edited.

A unique sequential system generated sequence number.

The name of the third-party insurance company.

The address of the third-party insurance company. Upto four lines of address may be entered.

The postcode of the third-party insurance company.

The telephone number of the third-party insurance company.

The third-party driver's policy number with the insurance company.

The reference number for correspondence with the insurance company.

The policy excess payable.

The insurance company contact name.

Following entry of the third-party insurer details the record is saved. These details are now returned to the Third Party Insurer Details Grid.

Third Party Insurer Details Grid

The Third Party Insurer Details Grid displays a row for all existing third-party records held against the currently selected accident. Each row contains the following data columns:

The unique sequential system generated accident number. The next accident number is allocated centrally from the System Controls module via the Next Accident Number field. This field cannot be edited.

The name of the third-party insurance company.

A single-left-click into an existing row in the tab displays the relevant form for the review or editing of the third party insurer accident data.

A single-left-click into the blank row in the tab displays the relevant form for entry of new third party insurer accident data.
