UNINSURED LOSS RECOVERY

Overview

Accessed via the ULR (ULR) icon or ULR option from the Records menu from the Accident Record.

This form enables the recording of uninsured loss recovery records for the accident.

Each record created populates a row within the ULR Grid in the ULR Tab.

This form is split into four parts that are as follows:

Title Bar

In addition to displaying the form name the Title Bar provides a number of other useful identification criteria and buttons.

Menu Bar

The content of the Uninsured Loss Record menu bar is as follows:

Exit

Exits to the Accident Record form. If any data changes have been made the system prompts "Do you want to save changes to this accident record?". Select the Yes, No or Cancel command button as appropriate.

Save

Saves any data amendments and returns to the Accident Record form.

Delete

Deletes the currently selected Uninsured Loss record.

Post

Posts the uninsured loss values.

Provides online access to a context sensitive Help form.

Toolbar

The content of the Uninsured Loss Record toolbar is as follows:

Uninsured Loss Recovery Dialogue Box

The Uninsured Loss Recovery Dialogue Box contains numerous data entry fields relevant to the storage of uninsured loss recovery records. These are as follows:

Details

A reference number (provided by the uninsured loss recovery agent perhaps) allocated against the uninsured loss record.

A checkbox which, if ticked, denotes that this uninsured loss recovery claim is currently being progressed.

The Drop-down button immediately to the right of this field displays a list of codes that enable the chances of recovery to be rated e.g. G Good.

A code to denote the type of uninsured loss. A Posting Table (accessed via Vehicle Administration / Miscellaneous Options / Posting type Codes) is allocated against this code so that values can be posted to the correct Nominal Ledger expense codes. Selection of the [...] button allows selection of the appropriate table.

The CRM Company record to which the recovered uninsured losses are to be allocated. The [...] button immediately to the right of this field provides a lookup to the appropriate record.

The Sales Ledger account to which the recovered uninsured losses are to be posted. The [...] button immediately to the right of this field provides a lookup to the appropriate account record. The full account name is displayed immediately to the right of this field.

The total value of the uninsured loss recovery claim.

The date of the ULR claim.

By clicking-on the [...] button to the right of either of the date fields a monthly diary form is displayed in order to assist in establishing the correct date criteria. Selection of the< button moves to the previous month and the> button moves to the next month. Selection of Exit exits the diary form. A double-click on the appropriate day of the month enters this date into the date field.

The value of uninsured losses currently recovered. The received value may not always be as much as the Claim Value originally anticipated.

The date payment is received for the ULR claim.

By clicking-on the [...] button to the right of either of the date fields a monthly diary form is displayed in order to assist in establishing the correct date criteria. Selection of the< button moves to the previous month and the> button moves to the next month. Selection of Exit exits the diary form. A double-click on the appropriate day of the month enters this date into the date field.

The commission value charged by the uninsured loss recovery agent.

The VAT code applied to the commisssion value.

The VAT value associated with the commisssion value.

A free-format area of the form that enables notes to be entered against the uninsured loss record.

A free-format area of the form that enables text to be entered that is to be printed on the invoice.

This field is populated automatically by the system and cannot be edited. This field displays the login id of the user who posts the ULR values and cannot be edited.
