Periodic Excess Tab

Overview

This tab contains a number of fields relating to Periodic Excess Invoicing.

This tab is only enabled if the Periodic Excess Distance Invoicing checkbox is ticked in the General 2 Tab of System Parameters.

To access the Periodic Excess Tab:

  1. From the Master Menu, select the Fleet Kompact option and Company required.

    The Kestrel Kompact Menu is displayed.

  2. Select the Contract Management option.

    The Contract Management form is displayed.

  3. Select the Open icon.

    The Contract Search form is displayed.

  4. Enter the appropriate information to locate the required agreement.

  5. Select the Edit icon.

  6. Select the Front page shortcut from the menu on the left of the form.

    The contract management Agreement Tab is displayed.

  7. Select the Periodic Excess Tab.

The following fields are displayed:

Periodic Excess: A checkbox which is populated according to how the Product has been defined. If the Use XS dist in Financials checkbox in the Product background table is ticked then this checkbox is ticked as a default. It can, however, be edited if the user has edit permissions.

Excess Frequency: Defaults to the value of the agreement Frequency (held in the Agreement Tab and determining the frequency of invoiced regular payments). It can, however, be edited if the user has edit permissions.

Next Periodic Excess: This date is first set when the agreement becomes Live and is determined by the agreement Start Date plus the Excess Frequency field. It is then subsequently determined by the selected frequency type.

The next three fields are all populated following the Excess Distance run (detailed below).

Last Excess Period: Shows the last period for which periodic excess invocing has been run for this agreement.

Last Excess Distance: Shows the odometer reading at the last period for which periodic excess invocing has been run for this agreement.

Excess Distance Charge To-date: Shows the current cumulative excess distance charge, including any previously calculated charges.
