This form is used to view or edit the excess/under mileage rates and corresponding mileage breaks.
Default excess/under mileage values are set at a customer level (within CRM / Record Maintenance / Companies Tab / Fleet Details).
The displayed figure is either a "calculated" value or a pence-per-mile value set at a relief vehicle category group rate.
To access the excess/under option:
From the Master Menu, select the Fleet Kompact option and Company required.
The Kestrel Kompact Menu is displayed.
Select the Contract Management option.
The Contract Management form is displayed.
Select the icon.
The Contract Search form is displayed.
Enter the appropriate information to locate the required agreement.
Select the icon.
Select the
shortcut from the menu on the left of the form.
The contract management Agreement Tab is displayed.
Select Excess and Under Distance from the Tools Menu.
The Excess and Under Rates form is displayed.
Enter the new rate and associated distance break for Excess and Under Rates as required.
This form is split into three parts that are as follows:
In addition to displaying the form name the Title Bar provides a number of other useful identification criteria and buttons.
The Excess and Under Review Dialogue Box contains several data fields for displaying excess and under rates information associated with the selected contract.
Excess Rates
The excess rates for over mileage are displayed at the top of the form.
Rate 1: The excess mileage rate corresponding to the Break 1 cell immediately to the right of this field.
Break 1: The first mileage-break (i.e. the number of miles above the contracted mileage to which a rate is to be applied) is displayed in the first row of this column. The corresponding excess mileage rate is displayed in the Rate 1 cell immediately to the left of this field.
The second mileage-break is displayed in the second row of this column. The corresponding excess mileage rate is displayed in the Rate cell immediately to the left of this ield.
Rate 3: The excess mileage rate for any mileage over the value contained in Break 2.
These figures are used to calculate excess mileage money due to the lessor from the lessee.
Under Rates
The rates for under mileage are displayed at the bottom of the form.
Rate 1: The under mileage rate corresponding to the Break 1 cell immediately to the right of this field.
Break 1: The first mileage-break (i.e. the number of miles below the contracted mileage to which a rate is to be applied) is displayed in the first row of this column. The corresponding under mileage rate is displayed in the Rate 1 cell immediately to the left of this field.
The second mileage-break is displayed in the second row of this column. The corresponding under mileage rate is displayed in the Rate cell immediately to the left of this field.
Rate 3: The under mileage rate for any mileage below the value contained in Break 2.
These figures are used to calculate under mileage money due to the lessee from the lessor.
COMMAND BUTTONS
The following command buttons are available within this form:
OK: Confirms the new excess and under values.
Cancel: Returns to the Agreement form without taking any action.
Help: Displays online context-sensitive help using the default browser.
