Change Customer

Overview

This option presents the Change Customer form which enables an agreement to be allocated to an alternative customer/SL account code. Accounts postings are made to the new customer from this point forwards but there are no retrospective changes made to postings to the original customer.

To access the change customer option:

  1. From the Master Menu, select the Fleet Kompact option and Company required.

    The Kestrel Kompact Menu is displayed.

  2. Select the Contract Management option.

    The Contract Management form is displayed.

  3. Select the Open icon.

    The Contract Search form is displayed.

  4. Enter the appropriate information to locate the required agreement.

  5. Select the Edit icon.

  6. Select the Agreement shortcut from the menu on the left of the form.

  7. The contract management Agreement Tab is displayed.

  8. Select Change Customer from the Tools Menu.

    The Change customer form is displayed.

  9. Either enter the new customer code in the Customer field or search for the required customer by using the [...] button.

  10. Select the OK command button.

This option should be used with caution.

This form is split into three parts that are as follows:

Title Bar

In addition to displaying the form name the Title Bar provides a number of other useful identification criteria and buttons.

Change Customer Dialogue Box

The Change Customer Dialogue Box contains the following columns of information:

Customer: Upon entry to the form this field displays the company record code for the existing customer currently associated with the agreement under review.

Selection of the [...] button immediately to the right of this field presents a Customer Search form that enables an existing company record to be found and reviewed by entering search selection criteria.

Customer Name: The full CRM company name associated with the selected company record code.

COMMAND BUTTONS:

The following command buttons are available within this form:

OK: Confirms the newly selected company record and returns to the Agreement form updating the appropriate fields. Fields that are updated are as follows: fields contained in the Customer Tab within Contract Management; the Customer field, Inv Account field and Recharge field contained in the Agreement Tab within Contract Management .

Cancel: Returns to the Agreement form without taking any action.

Help: Displays online context-sensitive help using the default browser.
