Selection of the 
icon from the Contract Main Menu opens the
Termination Review form from which various aspects of the agreement to be terminated
may be viewed or edited by way of the series of tabs or via the Tools menu.
This form is displayed if the Early termination option button is selected from the termination type wizard (accessed by selecting the Terminate Contract icon.
This form is split into three parts that are as follows:
In addition to displaying the form name the Title Bar provides a number of other useful identification criteria and buttons.
The Early Termination Type Dialogue Box contains the following fields:
The date on which the agreement is to be terminated early. (The system defaults-in today's date).
By clicking-on the ellipsis (...) button to the right of the date field a monthly diary form is displayed in order to assist in establishing the correct date criteria. Selection of the < button moves to the previous month and the > button moves to the next month. Selection of Exit exits the diary form. A double-click on the appropriate day of the month enters this date into the date field.
The system calculates the early termination charge. This is effectively, the total amount on un-invoiced rentals. However, this may be replaced by bespoke calculations for individual leasing companies who tend to have there own specific calculation methods. This field may be edited.
Note: If the Use escalate calculation method? checkbox is ticked in the Escalate Tab of System Parameters then the default Early Term Charge value on early terminations reflects the current outstanding capital i.e. Actual Capital Cost (the initial purchase price held in the Financials Tab) less Contract depreciation. The contract depreciation is the contract (customer's) capital reduction to the date of the last depreciation.
The following command buttons are available within this form:
Returns to the previous step of the wizard i.e. the Termination Type form.
Confirms the early termination details. The agreement is moved to a status of Terminated and the form is placed into Edit mode so that the appropriate termination charges, dates and odometer readings may be entered.
Exits the termination type wizard.
