EDIT SALES BIDS

Overview

Accessed by way of the Contract Review form followed by selection of Edit Sales Bids from the Tools Menu, this presents the Vehicle Re-CRM form. This form is for vehicles that are terminated but not yet disposed of and is used for entering any disposal bids received against the vehicle. The form is used as a memo recording facility and the data recorded does not have to be actioned or carried forward in any way.

Disposal bids may be both created and reviewed within the Vehicle Re-CRM form. However, the Vehicle Re-CRM form also displays bids that are created using the Bids Tab within Terminations / ReCRM / Vehicle ReCRM.

This form is split into four parts that are as follows:

Title Bar

In addition to displaying the form name the Title Bar provides a number of other useful identification criteria and buttons.

Menu Bar

The content of the Edit Sales Bids menu bar is as follows:

Save

This option is disabled upon first entering the form. Following entry of a disposal sales bid this menu option is enabled and is used to save the disposal bid on the system.

Exit

Exits to the Contract Review form. The system always prompts to save any amended details.

Provides online access to a context sensitive Help form.

Edit Sales Bids Dialogue Box

The Edit Sales Bids Dialogue Box contains a Sales Bids Grid for creating and displaying the any disposal bids received against the vehicle.

The fields contained within the Sales Bids Grid are as follows:

The date on which the disposal bid is made. A single-left-click enables entry into this field and enables the ellipsis (...) search button. The date may be entered directly or by clicking-on the ellipsis (...) button to the right of the field a monthly diary form is displayed in order to assist in establishing the correct date criteria. Selection of the <button moves to the previous month and the >button moves to the next month. Selection of Exit exits the diary form. A double-click on the appropriate day of the month enters this date into the date field.

The odometer reading at the time of the disposal valuation.

The Sales Location code field for denoting the sales area type from which the bid is made e.g. ADT ADT Auctions, PRIPrivate Sale or WEB Online Auction. A single-left-click (or TAB) enables entry into this field and enables the ellipsis (...) search button. The location code may be entered directly or by clicking-on the ellipsis (...) button to the right of the field a Sales Locations Search form is displayed that enables selection from the current available location codes. The cursor is located in the search field. Key part or all of the required sales location code and select the Sales Location command button. Locations matching the entered criteria are displayed and, having selected the required code by highlighting with the mouse, the OK command button is used to confirm this selection and return to the Vehicle Re-CRM form.

The Sales Location codes are set-up within Terminations / Miscellaneous Options / Sales Locations.

For enquiries that are not direct bids it is suggested that a location code such as ENQ is used to distinguish these.

The Sales Location Description associated with the Locn code.

A thirty character free-format alphanumeric field for entering further information related to the bid.

The monetary value of the bid received. A single-left-click (or TAB)enables entry into this field.

The following six CAP columns are only displayed if the Use CAP Black Book checkbox is ticked within the Details Tab in Terminations / System Maintenance / System Parameters. Following entry of the Date and Mileage column values and tabbing away, if the new CAP Black Book system parameter is ticked then the 6 CAP columns are populated with the data from valuation systems using the date and mileage entered. The 6 CAP values are displayed as read only.
