Selection of the Fleet Quotations module from the Primary Menu displays the Quotations Main Menu which drives the quotations module. This form is split into five parts, which are as follows:
In addition to displaying the form name and company the Title Bar provides a number of useful buttons.
This Broadcast Box is used by the System Administrator to broadcast system messages.
Located beneath and to the left of the Broadcast Box, this is a Menu listing the entire form and sub-menu options available (dependent upon User Priority Levels).
Displays the primary Quotations form where a quotation is constructed.
Opens the Ratesbooks form from which the ratesbook quotation is constructed.
Enables a search for a particular quotation in order that it may then be (re)printed.
Converts an accepted quotation into an order.
This option enables entry of special instructions that may relate to the currently selected quotation/order progression.
The Contract Upload process is available for the input of values that are pre-calculated via an external source rather than the Fleet Quotations module.
Gives access to the Reports & Enquiries sub-menu.
This option gives access to a number of sub-menus enabling the creation, editing and deletion of set-up tables for Product, Finance, Residual & Maintenance Values and Vehicle Groups. It also provides access to Data Import routines.
Users with the appropriate User Priority Level have access to: system controls and parameters; access control; and file usage and verification.
The options available through this menu are to be used primarily by an Autoline consultant. The menu option is set to a high priority to ensure the normal user has no access. The options available within this menu facilitate the initial set-up of the system (alongside the user) and ease the input of data within the database. Selection of Kerridge Utilities displays a sub-menu prompting selection from a list of utilities. The number of options available in the menu is dependent upon the User Priority Level
Located beneath and to the right of the Broadcast Box, is a selection of Command Buttons:
Confirms the selected menu option
Exits the current form and returns to the previous form or menu
Provides online context sensitive help information to the user
This option is currently unavailable within the Fleet System. It enables the system to be viewed as either a GUI (Graphical User Interface) or Text-based application. This is a check box that is turned on/off. When the check box is empty the option is "off". Click on the check box (or use the Spacebar) to select or deselect.
On selection a Tab Menu is displayed prompting further selection from a list of utilities. The number of options available in the menu is dependent upon the User Priority Level
The Administrator contains Electronic Mail functions, an Electronic Diary , a Company Phone Book and other useful tools. Individual users are given different permissions so that they only have access to selected options. The Electronic Mail system can be linked to a Fax system and to the Internet and also works with Kmail if required.
This box displays the default printer and also provides a Change Button that displays a list of alternative printers from which to select.
There are a number of ways to move around the various areas of the system and enter data. A form Navigation help file is available to assist in this task.
