Overview

The Motor Club Details set-up form is accessed via Miscellaneous Options / Product Management / Motor Club Options and is used to create, edit and delete Motor Club Types.

The form is split into three areas. These are the Titlebar, the Motor Club Dialogue Box and the column of Command Buttons down the right-hand side of the form.

Title Bar

In addition to displaying the form name the Title Bar provides a number of useful buttons.

To create a new motor club type select the Create Command Button.

To view or amend an existing motor club type use the following procedure:

The cursor is located in the Motor Club Code field prompting selection of an motor club code/description for the purposes of editing an existing motor club type. A single-left-click of the ellipsis (...) box to the right of this field will display a Motor Club List Box from which the appropriate motor club type is selected for the core calculation method (either Contract Hire or another commercial product). This code has a matching motor club description and attached vehicle-type code (displaying either P for Private Light Goods vehicles or C for Commercials). A double-left-click selects and confirms the required motor club type (alternatively, single-left-click and select the OK command button).

The Main Details Tab displays a number of details relating to the selected Motor Club Type which are as follows:

This field displays the available default vehicle types for the selected Motor Club Type. A single-click of the down-arrow to the right of this field enables selection from the current available options:

  • P Private Light Goods
  • C Commercial
  • C Heavy

This field holds the total cost of motor club membership for the full period of cover.

If the selected Motor Club cost is renewable then the exact period of cover for this cost must be entered in this field e.g. 12 for a period of twelve months.

This field holds the motor club membership cost for a part period of cover.

If the selected motor club membership is renewable then the period of part-cover for this cost must be entered in this field e.g. 6 for a period of six months.

A checkbox which, if ticked (selected with the mouse), denotes that this cost must be periodically  renewed.  For example, if the motor club cost equates to £100 per annum the system automatically calculates £300 for a three year contract. This calculation also takes into effect any part periods.
