Checking your Disk Space

The Disk Usage form is displayed when you select Disk Usage from the System Utilities / Management Menu. The heading on the form indicates whether you are working on an NT or Unix system.

Disk Usage Form

This form conveys information about the amount of remaining disk space on your hard drive. Unix systems display the data area in separate partitions. NT systems display the data area in separate drives. The function of checking your disk space can be added to the AGENT to run automatically as part of the Timed Operations procedure.

The Disk Usage form is divided into five columns as follows:

File system: Actual disk drive separated into different partitions.

Disk capacity: Disk size shown in mega bytes.

Free space: Amount of available disk space shown in mega bytes.

Total Inodes: Total number of files/directories.

Free Inodes: Number of available files/directories that are available.

Buttons:

Print: Prints your file system statistics to your currently assigned printer.
