Timed Operations Menu

This menu is displayed when you click System Utilities > Timed operations.

The timed operations menu contains options that control the Timed Operations Daemon (Agent). The Timed Operations Daemon is a background process that executes operations automatically at intervals throughout the day, once each day, week, month or year. Operations scheduled using the Agent can be set to run exclusively or concurrently with other Agent operations.

Note: End of Day has been replaced by a Timed Operations Daemon.

Daemon controller: Allows you to stop or start the software daemon

View/print system log file: Allows you to view/print the system log file. The status of each operation run from the Agent is reported in this log, including the starting and stopping of the Agent itself.

View/print output log file: Allows you to view/print the output log file. As well as reporting all completed or failed operations in the event log, the Agent also reports it own status, that is what has started and when; what it will start next.

Configure schedule (Timed Operations): Determines which operations are run and when they are run.

Add/modify agent dates: Used for managing the run-date and mode for End-of-Day, End-of-Week, and End-of-Period. (This replaces the original functionality of using System Utilities controls).
