System Parameters

All modules have certain control parameters which, although rarely changed after installation, need to be flexible from company to company and installation to installation. The system parameters record exists to hold these details, which must be set up before the module is used.

As a general rule, system parameters should not be amended after a module has gone live without advice from your consultant.

Selecting the option

There is one screen of parameters on the form, presented on a general tab. You will see this immediately on selecting the option.

Auto reverse day: This is the posting date that is applied to the reverse postings of an accrual whose auto reverse flag is set to 'Y'. Enter 'F' for First day of next period, or 'L' for Last day of next period.

Accruals reference: image This defines the structure of your accrual number. It can be up to 6 characters. For example, four 'hashes' for a four numeric code, or 'XXX' for a three alpha code.

Print daybook after posting: This flag decides whether daybooks are printed on exit from the accruals posting run. Enter aY for a daybook to be printed automatically or leave blank to exit without printing a daybook.

Print audit trail on posting: This flag decides whether daybooks are printed on exit from the accruals posting run. Enter aY for an audit trail to be printed automatically or leave blank to exit without printing an audit trail.
