If an estimate is amended so that its value becomes different from the value of the original imported version, the system asks for a Change reason code and, possibly, additional descriptive text. This data can then be used for analysis of the estimate changes.
To input a change reason code:
From the Rev.8 Master Menu, select the Bodyshop estimating interface option and Company required.
The BODYSHOP ESTIMATING main menu is displayed.
Select Miscellaneous options.
The BE MISCELLANEOUS OPTIONS menu is displayed.
Select the Change reasons option.
The Reason for Change Codes form is displayed.
This form is displayed when you select BE MISCELLANEOUS OPTIONS menu from the BODYSHOP ESTIMATING main menu and select the Change reasons option.
Code: The code to be used in Estimate maintenance when the estimate has changed.
Description: Description of change code - for reference\reporting purposes.
Must Enter a Desc.: If the user is required to provide descriptive text of the changes made when using this code, before changes can be saved.
