System Parameters

Warning: It is strongly recommended that only the designated system supervisor should make alterations to the system parameters. Changes to the system parameters can have far reaching consequences. If in any doubt about the implications of such a change, contact Support personnel.

The Systems Parameters form consists of the following fields:

Company identifier: The point of sale company number.

General Tab

The following fields are displayed on the General tab:

Cap Black Book

DOS directory for files: This specifies the path on the local PC where the CAP supplied valuation and franchise data files are stored and can be uploaded .

Tip: When importing CAP data from a local PC the import process will check for a directory on the PC called C:\CAP if this does not exists it will create one and store the date within. This will be the DOS directory.

Directory on host of file: This specifies the path on the host (server) machine where the valuation and franchise data intermediate files are stored.

CAP franchise data model mapping: Tick the box to enable model mapping at the time of import, for example rename CAP code 123 to Escort.

Grid format for CAP: Tick the box to enable the CAP data to be displayed in a grid format. If a tick is not entered the CAP data will display in a tree format.

Warning: The DOS directory for files and Directory on host of file will also be used as the default directories when using CAP Franchise Data imports.

Glass's Guide

DOS directory for files This specifies the path on the local PC where the GLASS supplied valuation and franchise data files are stored and can be uploaded

Tip: When importing Glass data from a local PC the import process will check for a directory on the PC called C:\GLASS if this does not exists it will create one and store the date within. This will be the DOS directory.

Directory on host for files This specifies the path on the host (server) machine where the valuation and franchise data intermediate files are stored.

Which systems to use

For valuation in SR Use the drop down button Drop-down to select the valuation type for Showroom.

For valuation in VSB Use the drop down button Drop-down to select the valuation type for Vehicle Stockbooks.

For valuation in CRM Use the drop down button Drop-down to select the valuation type for CRM. Not in use at the moment.

Note: Select from either CAP, GLASS's or None.

Buttons

Save: Saves any changes made to the record.

Cancel: Halts the current operation without saving the record.

Help: Displays help on the current application using the default browser.
