Car Tax Definition

The parameters involved are firstly, a capital price limit, currently set at 99,999,999.00 to allow for any price of vehicle to be calculated in the same way. Secondly, the prevailing percentage rate, currently set at five per cent, and lastly the multiplication and division factors to allow for the current five sixths ratio.

All of the other codes are currently set to zero as no other method exists at this time.

Should it become necessary in the future then either the code A parameters can be adjusted or new codes implemented.

The code attributable to a given vehicle is applied in the variant record of each specific vehicle available from the manufacturer or concessionaire. See Variant codes.
