Locator Definition

The Locator code is used in the vehicle administration program for searching for all vehicles with 'something in common'. The locator code for any vehicle is up to twenty characters with the vehicle administration progress code always being the seventeenth digit and the physical stock branch or location code in positions eighteen, nineteen and twenty.

The contents of the other elements of the locator code are at the discretion of you, although, once defined on a system or for a company, they are then common for all users on that system or of that company.

To access the locator definition:

  1. From the Rev. 8 Master menu select the Franchise Data option and the company you require.

The FRANCHISE DATA menu is displayed.

  1. Select the System maintenance option.

The DD SYSTEM MAINTENANCE menu is displayed.

  1. Select the Locator definition option.

The Locator Definition form is displayed.
