Payment method codes are maintained in this option and they simply detail how payment for the rental charges is made.
To access payment methods:
From the Master Menu, select the Vehicle rentals option and Company you require.
The VEHICLE RENTALS menu is displayed.
Select Miscellaneous options.
The MISCELLANEOUS OPTIONS menu is displayed.
Select the Payment method option.
The Payment methods form is displayed.
The Payment method form is displayed when the Payment method option is selected from the MISCELLANEOUS OPTIONS menu.
New payment method codes may be created, amended, displayed, deleted or searched. The

may be used to select the required
Payment Method code.
The Amend option is covered below during which the content of each of the fields held against the payment method record are explained:
Code: Input the code required e.g. VISA is typically used to record VISA payments.
Description: The description of the payment method code being edited. It can be up to fifteen characters long.
NL suspense account: The nominal ledger cost code and expense code combination that is used when the payments of this type are posted in the nominal ledger.
Payment sign: It is possible to ensure that payments may be entered as a positive or negative figure. Refunds, for example, should always be negative but users may forget to enter a minus sign in front of the numbers they type in to the Payments Tab of the agreement. If the payment sign here is entered as a - (minus sign) then it always shows as a minus sign on the agreement. A positive + symbol has the opposite effect, preventing negative amounts for this payment code. Leave the field blank to allow a choice of negative or positive.
Auto numbering: Provided that the appropriate hardware is in place then payment receipts may be printed as confirmation of payment to the customer. This field enables a choice as to whether the receipts should contain an automatic sequential payment number.
COMMAND BUTTONS:
Exit: Returns to the MISCELLANEOUS OPTIONS menu.
Help: Displays context-sensitive help for the current form using the default browser.
Cancel: Aborts the amendment process.
