POSTING TABLES INITIAL RECORD

Overview

The Posting Tables Initial Records screen is accessed via Vehicle Purchasing / Kerridge Utilities / Posting Table Default and is used to create a default posting table for the values that are analysed into the Nominal Ledger when the costs are posted into accounts.

When the option is taken to create Posting Tables (within Miscellaneous Options ) it is the codes entered within this default table that are used in the first instance to create the new posting table. The default posting table is designed to aid creation of posting tables within the Vehicle Purchasing module and is particularly useful within a multi-company environment where it may be used as the default template for each company to be amended where required.

The screen is split into three areas. These are the Titlebar, the Posting Tables Initial Record Dialogue Box and the column of Command Buttons down the right-hand side of the screen.

Title Bar

In addition to displaying the screen name the Title Bar provides a number of useful buttons.

Note: If an error is made while setting up the nominal ledger codes for a Posting Table, ADP can assist in the re-assignment of correct codes onto existing agreements.
