The Types of business form is displayed when you select the Business type codes option from the CRM Miscellaneous options menu. Types of business are used on customer and company records in CRM (Customer Relationship Management). They advise you of the type of business that the individual or company are involved in. Business types are a useful selection criteria to use when running adhoc reports for campaigns.
Once you have selected Types of business from the miscellaneous menu you will be presented with a standard grid. The grid is a two column grid headed Type of business and description.
Type of business: The type of business code itself can be up to three characters in length which can be any key board characters.
Description: The description can be up to 20 characters in length and is used to help you understand the definition of the code./p>
When a type of business code is selected and saved to a customer or company record both the code and the description are visible.
