Title look-up codes can be used from within the customer records to force the validation of the titles used on them. This in turn can help maintain the standard of data on the database. From with in the title codes option you can set up title codes that should be used against particular language codes, so for example if a particular customer has the language flag on their customer record set to german you can use specific german language titles for that customer.
Note:The level of validation of the title code can vary on each system. The level of validation depends on the use of a system parameter. More information on this is available from the system parameters link from related topics.
Once the title codes option is taken from the The CRM Miscellaneous Options Menu you will be presented with a standard Autoline GEDIT form. Use of the gedit form is further explained from the gedit form link in the related topics part of this help file. The form displays three fields which are :-
Language Code: The Language code drop down menu allows you to select the language code for the title code you want to create, delete or amend. The language codes available in this menu are being populated from the global languages file on your system. If you are unable to find the language code you require this can be set up by your system administrator.
Title Code: This is a two character alpha numeric identifier for the title code. If you are using alpha characters to identify you title codes these can be either upper or lower case. You can have two identical title codes providing they are for different languages. You can search for a title code by clicking the ellipsis
Title Description: This is the title description. the description can be up to ten characters. If a title code has be selected the title description will have been entered into the field.
