The Extra Lookup Maintenance option is available from the The CRM Miscellaneous Options Menu. This option allows to add, remove and amend values that can be selected in the crm (Customer Relationship Management) or showroom extra details screen in the customer records. The extra details screen holds information about customers, the vehicle they require and their part exchange vehicle.
Note: You will not be able to add new look up types. Any new values you require need to be added to the extra details screen. If you need to retain a lot of different information concerning customer,company and vehicle records you may need to consider setting up a new user defined screen that is unique to your system.
The Extra lookup Maintenance form is split into three areas. Two are headed one is called Type, the other called Codes & Descriptions. The third is not headed but contains the help and close buttons. The values are made up of two fields these are :-
This first are on the form is headed type it contains one field which is labeled Lookup table. From the drop down you can select the table which contains the value that you want to work on.
Note: You will need to select a lookup table from the drop down menu even if you are going to create a new value.
If you want to Add or Remove a value from the table you will fistly need to select the code that you want to work on to do this all you need to do is click on the value in the window to highlight it. On making the selection you will see that the selected code and description is displayed in the relevent fields below the window but at this point they will not be available to edit. At the same time the add, remove and edit buttons become available. The confirm and cancel buttons only become available once one of the other options has been used.
The Add, Remove and Edit buttons all allow access to different fields. the enabled fields are as follows.

Warning:Care must be taken when using the Remove option as you are not asked to confirm your input the value is simply deleted as soon as you click the delete button.
When using the Add and Edit Function you will need to click on confirm to save the newly created or amended value codes. These will be added to the list in the codes and descriptions window as soon as confirm is pressed.
The Cancel button is used to allow you to cancel the creation or amendments you are currently doing.
