If installed, WIP status codes for parts are found in the WIP Status field for parts on the Point-of-Sale form. They are used to determine the progress of parts on a WIP from the point that it is raised through to completion, and are set automatically by the system when the progress code is set on a Parts WIP line and the WIP saved.
Note: Standard functionality exists that allows you to create and maintain records. However, these status codes must not be modified without Autoline consultancy.
To access Parts WIP statuses:
From the Rev.8 Master Menu, select the Point-of-sale option and Company you require.
The POINT OF SALE menu is displayed.
Select Miscellaneous options.
The SO MISCELLANEOUS OPTIONS menu is displayed.
Select the Parts wip statuses option.
The Parts WIP statuses form is displayed.
This form is displayed when you select the Parts wip statuses option from the SO MISCELLANEOUS OPTIONS menu. From this form you can create and maintain Parts WIP statuses.
Code: Enter the single character Parts WIP status.

Description: This is a description of the WIP status. For example, Picked.
Operation sequence: The sequence of events in the life of a Parts WIP. For example, a WIP could go from M (Memo), to Q Requisitioned, to X Invoiced. Each event is allocated a sequence number. The table of Parts WIP statuses is listed below in order of sequence. The mandatory sequence numbers are 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, and so on, which are set up as standard on the Autoline system. The sequence is used to determine the hierarchy of the status when by the Point-of-Sale parts WIP status field.
