The EMU currencies form allows you to enter the exchange rate for various currencies against the Euro, and can be used for triangulation purposes. Please bear in mind that at the time of writing this help topic, this option is becoming less useful as most countries are now using Euros rather than their original currency.
To select EMU currencies:
From the Autoline master menu select the Nominal Ledger option and the company you require.
Select the Bank and Currencies option.
Select the EMU currencies option.
The EMU currencies form is displayed.
Standardized code: The three letter alpha numeric currency identifier, e.g. FRF is French Franc.
Description: The (up to) 14 letter description of the currency.
Rate to EURO's: Displays how many of the selected currency are equal to one EURO.
Decimal places: How many decimal places the exchange rate is rounded to.
It is advisable to select the "Column" button to actually edit or create a rate, as this grid enables the user to save any changes. There is also the facility to run an ad-hoc or sort on the data.
BUTTONS
Exit:Returns the user to the Miscellaneous menu.
Help:Displays online help in the default browser.
Sort:Sorts the records in the grid either forwards, or in Reverse [by clicking the reverse check box]This option can be used in conjunction with the Start and Finish fields, to narrow down the search criteria.
Refresh:Returns the view to the status when it was first accessed from the menu, for example after a search had been run.
Fields:Allows the user to select a particular field [or fields] from the grid.
Ad-hoc:Enables the user to run an enquiry on the accrual/journal type file.
Column:This enables the user to display the records in the column format, which enables creation and deletion of records.
