Add/Modify Text

This option allows you to add text notes that are relevant to an individual Purchase Ledger account.

What do you want to do?

The notes added to a PL account here appear on the Text tab of the Display accounts option.

To create text:

  1. From the Autoline Master menu select the Purchase Ledger option and the Company you require.

    The PURCHASE LEDGER menu is displayed.

  2. Select the Add/modify text option.

    The Purchase ledger text form is displayed.

  3. Enter the Account number for which you are creating/amending text notes. If you are unsure of it, click the button search facility. Bear in mind that, if the account does not already have text on it, it is not possible to access the account.

  4. Select the text area and type in the relevant text, for example, text could be 10% discount for payment before the 30th. 7 lines of text can be input. If a new line is to be added, one of the previous lines must be deleted first.

  5. Click the Create button. (This can be used in two ways: either by creating a completely new record (use the blank radio button), or use the Copy radio button if you want to use an existing record as a template.) When satisfied with the text entered, click the Save button.

Note: This text is also seen on the Text tab of the Display accounts option.

To add or /modify text:

Simply follow the same procedure as per creating text, but when an account that ALREADY CONTAINS text has been selected, you can click the Amend button, amend the text, and then click the Save button.

To delete text:

Simply follow the same procedure as per creating text, but wnen an account that ALREADY CONTAINS text has been selected, you can click the Delete button, (this must actually be clicked twice to delete the text).

OTHER BUTTONS:

Ad-hoc:This enables an enquiry to be run on the Purchase Ledger text file.
