Educational establishments

The Educational establishments option will only appear on the PR MISCELLANEOUS OPTIONS menu if the End of Year returns via the internet payroll system parameter is ticked on set up by an Autoline consultant and you are a priority 4+ user.

Educational establishments are optionally used to report on the location of education training for P38S purposes. They were to be used as a part of the P14 internet submission record but the specification has subsequently changed and they are no longer reported as a part of the P14 record.

To access Educational establishments

  1. From the Rev.8 Master Menu, select the Payroll option and Company you require.

    The Payroll Password form is displayed.

  2. Enter your payroll password.

    The PAYROLL menu is displayed.

  3. Select the Miscellaneous options option.

    The PR MISCELLANEOUS MENU is displayed.

  4. Select the Educational establishments option.

    The Educational establishments form is displayed.

The Educational establishments form is displayed when you select the Educational establishments option from the PR MISCELLANEOUS MENU.

Maintenance of Educational establishments

The Educational establishments record consists of the one TAB called Educational establishments. To amend an existing Educational establishment enter the Educational establishment and click the Amend button. To create an Educational establishment click the Create button and enter the Educational establishment and description.

Tip : Click the Ellipsis button [...] to search for an Educational establishment from the Educational establishments file.

Description: The seventy character description.

Where are Educational establishments used?

Educational establishments were introduced into the payroll system as a part of the internet end of year reporting of the P14 record. Subsequent HM Revenue & Customs specification changes have however meant this is no longer the case. They however remain used in the following places within the payroll system:-

PUSH BUTTONS:

Exit: Returns you to the PR MISCELLANEOUS MENU.

Help: Displays help on the current application in your default company browser.

Create: Click the Create button before entering the Educational establishment or any other details if creating a new Educational establishment record.

Amend: Click the Amend button after entering the Educational establishment if wanting to amend an existing Educational establishments record.

Delete: Click the Delete button after entering the Educational establishment if wanting to delete an existing Educational establishment record.

Save: Saves any changes that you have made to the Educational establishments form and allows you to further maintain Educational establishments.

Cancel: Cancels any changes that you have made to the Educational establishments form and returns you to the PR MISCELLANEOUS MENU.

Ad-hoc: Allows for reporting on the Educational establishments.
