The Miscellaneous options menu contains options used to set up the structure of the payroll and utilities.
The PR MISCELLANEOUS menu is displayed when you select the Miscellaneous options option from the PAYROLL menu.
Display current period: Shows current payroll status.
Rates table: Set up of the main payments table.
Additions/deductions: Set up of miscellaneous adjustments.
Benefits: Set up of employer provided benefits.
Trades: Set up of trades.
Transfer BACS buffer to BACS: Optional. Copies the BACS payments to a BACS module either within the payroll environment or on the main accounting system for export to a 3rd party package.
Change password: Where a user changes their password.
NL grade postings: Set up of the nominal ledger posting tables which define the expense codes used on payroll postings.
Display payroll history: Display of the period P11 history data for the current tax year.
Display SSP history: Display of sickness records.
Sickness reasons: Set up of the sickness reasons used when entering sickness details.
Audit print: An old style audit facility - where the audit file is printed.
Archive options: Optional menu. Access to the detailed history for each payroll period and payroll year end archive data.
Change control options: Optional menu. Set up of the user definable audit facility.
Utility options: Miscellaneous utilities.
Court order/CSL options: Set up of court orders and the reporting of court orders.
BACS categories: Optional. Set up of BACS categories to separate batches for various types of payment.
Educational establishments: Set up of educational establishments for year end reporting.
HMRC BACS payments: Optional. Generate a BACS batch to pay the HMRC Accounts office the PAYE and NIC transaction payments.
Pension schemes: Set up pension schemes with their descriptions and BACS details.
