Sales Order Types

This program is used to attach a description to the purchase order types shown on the franchise code. The program has a standard file maintenance facility with the options to Create, Amend, Display, Delete, records, and so on.

Because the sale type is one of the parameters that determines which sale and cost-of-sale accounts to update, there are parameters in each sale type record to control these matters, as follows:

Sales Type: This is a single-character code entered when a vehicle is invoiced to determine the nature of the sale, (for example R for retail, F for fleet). Enter Sales type or use the drop-down Drop-down menu with further selections.

Details Tab

Order type: This will be a single letter such as S for Stock, F for Fleet or T for Fully Paid Transfer. From some franchises, this order will determine the S.O.R. period.

Vehicle type: It is not the two-position codes referenced above that control whether or not a sales type can be used on a new vehicle record or a used vehicle record. It is this value here, which has one of three options:

Description: Up to 16 characters long, providing supporting narrative as to the purpose of the vehicle type

Sequence: This value determines in which column the list of account codes will appear in the new vehicle detail posting tables. If this sales type is not valid for new vehicles, the position should be set to zero.

Sequence: This value determines in which column the list of account codes will appear in the used vehicle detail posting tables. If this sales type is not valid for used vehicles, the position should be set to zero.

Customer cost centre: Indicates which cost centre is to be customered

CRM vehicle status: The status at which the CRM vehicle should be put after an invoice has been printed

PUSH BUTTONS:

Exit: Returns you to the VS Miscellaneous Menu

Help: Displays help on the current program in your default company browser
