Reset in use flags

Warning: This program MUST ONLY be run when there are no other users within the Valuation module. If run with users in the module, it is possible that data files will be damaged. Use Prevent and Allow access to stop further access to the module and clear all existing users before re setting the in use flags.

From time to time a user may exit from the Valuation systems module illegally, either through a power failure, or by turning off a terminal whilst still logged into the module, or due to some other hardware or software fault. If this happens then any files which the operator had open at the time will still be registered as in use. When a 'stand-alone' routine is required to be run it checks first of all that none of the affected files are being used by another operator. In this sort of situation it is possible that the program will think that certain files are still being used when in fact they no longer are.

Should this situation arise then firstly the operator should verify that nobody is really logged in to the module using the Prevent/Allow Access program. Once this has been done they should then run the reset in use flags program to correct the locked files situation, which will access each file in the module in turn, resetting its lock flag.

The Reset in use flags form is displayed when the Reset in use flags option is selected from the CD System Maintenance Menu.
