This option is used to verify that all the files within the Vehicle Rentals database are intact and that no corruption has occurred. This program is normally run automatically by a Timed Operation. However, it is a vital routine to carry out after a hardware or software fault has occurred.
If any errors are found, or any files have exceeded their pre-determined percentage full capacity, the details are printed to a log report which should be studied carefully. If there in any doubt as to what course of action to take with regard to any such errors assistance should be sort from a Fleet Consultant.
To verify files:
Note: This option must only be run when there are no other users in the Vehicle Rentals module.
From the Master Menu, select the Vehicle rentals option and Company required.
The VEHICLE RENTALS menu is displayed.
Select the System maintenance option and click OK.
The System Maintenance menu is displayed.
Select the Verify files option.
The Verify files form is displayed.
Select the Verify button.
The following message is displayed:

There are two possible outcomes:
If no errors are found, you are returned to the System Maintenance menu.
If errors are found the system prints a log report to the currently selected printer.
The Verify files form is displayed when you select the Verify files option from the SYSTEM MAINTENANCE MENU. From this form files within the Daily Rentals database may be verified.
COMMAND BUTTONS:
Exit: Returns to the System Maintenance menu.
Help: Provides online access to context sensitive help for the current application using the default browser.
Verify: Verifies all the Vehicle Rental data files.
Company: Enables the company number to be entered for which the verification is required.
