The Alter Sales Executives option allows you to change the sales executive code on Company, customer, Vehicle, Contact and Enquiry records to an alternative one to cater for the situation where one particular sales executive's responsibilities are being taken over by another one. So far as Contact records are concerned it will update all of the records on file for the appropriate sales executive, not just those still requiring follow-up.
This form is displayed when you select the Alter sales executives option form the CRM system maintenance menu. The form is further titled replace executive. When the form is first opened a list of users appears in a window headed previous, this is referring to the executive currently on the records who you wish to replace. Only once the previous executive has been selected will the window headed New be activated and populated with the executives names who you may wish to transfer ownership of the records to.
Once the previous and the new executive names have been selected the replace button at the bottom of the windows then becomes active. When the Replace button is clicked you are given a window where you can select the records on which you want to change the executive ownership. To replace the executives click ok and the progress monitor will give an indication on how much of the data has been updated. Alternatively from the file selection screen you can take the cancel option to return to the initial form.
Taking the exit option from the initial form will return you to the CRM system maintenance menu.

Reversing this process is not as easy as simply selecting the previous and new executive in the reverse order as this will update not only the previously transferred records but all of the current records for that executive.
