The Products Tab is used to define the default products used within the Fleet Quotation form for cars, commercials and heavy commercials.
The following fields are displayed:
The default product to be used within a quotation for a PLG vehicle for this company. Selection of the
button presents a list of available Product Types (and associated Product codes). e.g. CHWM Contract Hire With Maintenance initially set up within Fleet Quotations / Miscellaneous Options / Product Management / Product Details. A top-level default Product can be set-up within the Product (Cars) field contained in the Quotation Defaults Tab located in System Maintenance / System Parameters. The top-level default product can be overridden by setting up a default value at customer level within this form.
The default product to be used within a quotation for a commercial vehicle for this company. Selection of the
button presents a list of available Product Types (and associated Product codes). e.g. CHWM Contract Hire With Maintenance initially set up within Fleet Quotations / Miscellaneous Options / Product Management / Product Details. A top-level default Product can be set-up within the Product (Commercials) field contained in the Quotation Defaults Tab located in System Maintenance / System Parameters. The top-level default product can be overridden by setting up a default value at customer level within this form.
The default product to be used within a quotation for a heavy commercial vehicle for this company. Selection of the
button presents a list of available Product Types (and associated Product codes). e.g. CHWM Contract Hire With Maintenance initially set up within Fleet Quotations / Miscellaneous Options / Product Management / Product Details. A top-level default Product can be set-up within the Product (Heavy) field contained in the Quotation Defaults Tab located in System Maintenance / System Parameters. The top-level default product can be overridden by setting up a default value at customer level within this form.
Allows the input of the required company-level default contract term, in months, to be used within the quotation. This, in turn, determines which profiles can be viewed within the Fin. Profile field.
The company-level default contract term can override the top-level default set-up within the Period (Months) field contained in the Quotation Defaults Tab located in System Maintenance / System Parameters.
Both the top-level and the customer default values can be overridden from the quotation itself. The default period and its applicable value is used within the calculation in the primary Quotations form. However, this default value can be overridden by clicking into the field with the mouse and overwriting the existing value with the value that is required.
This field determines the company-level default frequency of invoiced regular payments to be made within the quoted contract. The
button accesses a drop-down list displaying the following currently available selections:
- M Monthly
- 2 Bi-Monthly
- Q Quarterly
- B Bi-Annually
- A Annually
The company-level default frequency can override the top-level default set-up within the Frequency field contained in the Quotation Defaults Tab located in System Maintenance / System Parameters.
Both the top-level and the customer default values can be overridden from the quotation itself. The default frequency and its applicable value for the selected contract term and mileage are used within the calculation in the primary Quotations form. However, this default value can be overridden by selection of the
button directly to the right of the Frequency field which presents the above list of alternative product types from which to select.
The default contract mileage used within quotations for this company.
The company-level default contract mileage can override the top-level default set-up within the Mileage field contained in the Quotation Defaults Tab located in System Maintenance / System Parameters.
This field is in fact dependent upon the top-level default value for the Contract/Ann Mlg field within the General Tab in System Parameters. If this is set to Annual Mileage then this field will contain an annual mileage value. However, if set to Contract Mileage, then this field will contain a contract mileage value. The primary Quotations form displays the corresponding default annual or contract mileage value accordingly.
Both the top-level and the customer default values can be overridden from the quotation itself. Let us assume, for example, that Contract Mileage has been selected as the top level default value for the Contract/Ann Mlg field. Selection of the
button directly to the right of the Contract Mileage fieldpresents a pop-up mileage box which is used to override the default value and input the required mileage for the current quotation. This can be done in one of two ways: the total contract mileage is simply entered in the Contract Mileage field and returned to the primary Quotations form; or, the true annual mileage can be entered in the Annual Mileage field which is then converted to the exact contract mileage and returned to the primary Quotations form.
Selection of the
button presents a list of Finance Types. The finance type displays the finance company description and corresponding code (up to 10 characters), which is set up within Miscellaneous Options / Finance Management / Finance Type. A single-click of the mouse highlights and selects the appropriate finance type to be used as a default for this company within the quotation.
Selection of the
button presents a list of Finance Profiles. The finance profile displays the finance profile description and corresponding code (up to 10 characters), which is set up within Miscellaneous Options / Finance Management / Finance Profiles. A single-click of the mouse highlights and selects the appropriate finance profile to be used as a default for this company within the quotation.
Contains a list of Products that may be selected within the quotation for the currently selected CRM company as an alternative to the default. Only those products contained within this list may be used in a quotation for this company. The Add, Edit and Delete buttons may be used to add, delete or modify the required products.
Note: If left blank then all products may be selected within the quotation.
Note 2: The Restrict qte elements to def field in the Calculation Details Tab (in Fleet Quotations / System Parameters) restricts the products within the quote.
