This tab is part of the CRM My Desktop form. It enables you to store and access documents related to CRM Company, Customer, Contact, and Vehicle records, such as finance company quotes.
Note: You must select a shortcut icon (Company, Customer or Vehicle) and then find a CRM record to access the document details for that record.
You can also access documents attached to a contact by selecting an individual contact within the customer record. This opens the Contact form, which also displays the CRM Documents tab.
Available documents grid:
The Available documents grid displays all the available documents that have been added to the system.
Description: Brief description of the document.
Date: Date of the document.
Document type: File-type of the document.
Document name: File name of the attached document. This includes the standard three-letter file-type extension such as .doc or .pdf.
Buttons:
View: Opens the document selected in the Available documents grid.
Add: Enables you to add a new document to the list of available documents.
Details/Edit: Opens the CRM Document Details form. The Details button becomes an Edit button when you view the form in edit-mode, enabling you to open, amend or delete the information stored on the CRM Document Details form.
Tip: To switch to edit-mode, click the Edit toolbar button or select File > Edit from the menu bar.
