The MARKETING MAIN MENU is displayed when you select the Marketing option from the AUTOLINE MASTER MENU.
The following options are available. Whether you are able to see all of them is dependent on your System priority level setting.
Record maintenance: Used to search, display, Edit or create records in the following files: Company-records, Target-records and Vehicle-records.
Target satisfaction: Used to record customer satisfaction surveys and subsequently monitor the results.
Today's contacts: Allows those of you who have regular access to a terminal to receive contact reminders via the screen, rather than through printed contact sheets or forms
Sales analysis: Used to accumulate sales data and subsequently analyse it using the report generator and/or the ad-hoc enquiries facilities.
Reports & enquiries: As with all the other modules of the AUTOLINE system, certain reports are provided as standard. User defined reports, enquiries, charts, graphs and documents can be set up and maintained using report generator, format stationery and ad-hoc enquiries. Advanced users can then attach these facilities onto you defined reports menu if required.
Miscellaneous options: Allows you to alter the standard codes which are used throughout the system. Some of the codes used in the marketing module are in fact maintained in the Franchise data module, such as sales executives, locations, franchises, models, variants, etc., so if the code table you are wishing to amend is not covered in this section, then it would be as well to check the Franchise Data on-line help.
System maintenance: The marketing System maintenance menu is only available to users with marketing priority level 8 access. As well as the usual programs associated with system maintenance such as record defaults, file usage statistics, reset in use flags, etc., there is a separate user access control facility which runs over the top of the normal permissions and security set up, plus certain other marketing specific utilities not available to the 'sub level 8' user. In addition to this at priority level 9, normally reserved for Autoline consultants and support staff only, there is a facility to set up user specific company, target and vehicle data dictionaries and the necessary screens on which to present the data, as well as record maintenance for many of the data files to assist in the correction of mistakes which would normally be 'out of reach' of you.
