Category Mapping

When you invoice a Fastfit WIP in Point-of-Sale, you are prompted to categorise all items. The software can register the category of items and can sometimes decide the category for you, based on your Fastfit Reporting Category parameters. You will not be able to continue with the invoice until all items have been categorised.

To map a category:

  1. Invoice the WIP in the normal way.

If there are any labour lines with no parts attached to them, they are listed in an Unlinked Labour form. Click Cancel to return to the WIP or OK to accept the list.

The Fastfit Reporting - Category Mapping form is displayed.

  2. Double-click the items in the list to select the category they should be mapped to.

Note: All items in the task group are assigned the same category.

    The Categories form is displayed.

  3. Select the category required, tick the This item always belongs to this category check box if appropriate, and click OK.

The Fastfit Reporting - Category Mapping form is re-displayed, with your chosen category shown in the Category column.

  4. Continue mapping categories until all the items are mapped, then click OK.

The first Questions form is displayed.

  5. Answer all the questions in turn.

You are returned to the Service Point-of-Sale form, with the items categorised as you specified.
