Copying Fastfit Settings

The Copy facility is useful when setting up a new Point-of-Sale company to use Fastfit Reporting. Once the parameters have been defined for one company, you can use them to set up new ones. The parameters copied include the following:

Warning: When you use the Copy facility, any existing parameters for the current company are overwritten.

To copy Fastfit parameter settings for a new company:

  1. From the Operations Menu select Fastfit reporting followed by the name of the new Point-of-Sale company.

    The Fastfit Reporting form is displayed.

  2. Click the Fastfit Reporting options button Parameters.gif on the form's toolbar or select Edit > Options on the menu bar.

    The Fastfit Reporting Options form is displayed with the Reporting options tab active.

  3. Select the Set-up tab and click the Copy parameters from another company button. Copy2.gif

    A list of existing Point-of-Sale companies with Fastfit settings already set up is displayed.

  4. Highlight the company to copy from and select the settings you want to copy (Reporting settings, Department settings or Account codes) then click OK.

    You are returned to the Fastfit Reporting Options form with the settings copied to the new company.

Buttons:

Save: Returns you to the Fastfit Reporting form, with the changes made on the Set-up tab saved.

Cancel: Returns you to the Fastfit Reporting form, with the changes made on the Set-up tab discarded.
